Brainstorming ideas for our target demographic, 35-45 Resigned:

07/10:

Using the cameras to take lots of pitures of our chosen drink, Purdey's natural energy drink

17/10:

Finished using Photoshop to create my advertising campaign poster:

Attention: this advert draws the reader's attention as the bottle is shown to be immmeresed in nature, in line with the natural health benefits of the drink. The pink text helps establish brand identity, as it is the same colour as the bottom half of the bottle.
Interest: interest is created through the circles in the bottom right-hand corner which display some of the health benefits ("energising B vtamins",  "source of magnesium" etc), which I Photoshopped from a photo of the side of the bottle.
Desire: to receive the health benefits of the drink and also experience the refreshing Raspberry and Rose flavour
Action: to "Replenish" and again experience the benefits of the drink

09/09/22 Media coverage of the Queen's death and King Charles' ascension

The Guardian chooses a colourful, striking portrait of the Queen at her coronation to draw the reader's attention and also paint her in a vibrant, positive light. The Queen is also making direct eye contact with the audience, which also increases engagement. However, instead of writing a heartfelt message such as "our hearts are broken" like other newspapers, the Guardian chooses to write the dates of her reign. This is factual and informs the reader of the period of her reign. This may be because the Guardian tends to be more left-leaning and chooses not to promote the Royal family quite as much as other newspapers, which is why they opt for a fact rather than a message.

This is another interesting piece of media coverage regarding the Queen's death and King Charles' ascension on the Daily Mail's website. The story uses some of the most emotional quotes from his speech - "to my darling Mama" and "darling wife Camilla". This could perhaps be to highlight King Charles' grief as well as gratitude that is shared by the rest of the nation to create a sense of unity and togetherness during this time. There is also a subtle reference back to the debacle surrounding Harry and Meghan, as the Daily Mail claims King Charles is extending an "olive branch". This paints the Royal family in a positive way again, as they are the ones who are offering peace to Harry and Meghan, not vice versa. This furthers the sense of togetherness as despite the events of the past as well as the current event, King Charles still includes them in his speech because they are all family. It is also worth noting that the Daily Mail have changed the interface of their websiite to pay tribute to the late Queen with the solemn black and white banner at the top.
